OUR WOLRD - Hurghada the best of

For the last 12 days my world was in Hurghada a city at the Red Sea in Egypt. It is a main tourist center and third largest city (after Suez and Ismailia) in Egypt located on the Red Sea coast.

The city was founded in the early 20th century. Until a few years ago it was a small fishing village but since the 1980s has been continually enlarged by Egyptian and foreign investors to become the leading coastal resort on the Red Sea.  Hurghada is known for its watersports  and warm weather. Daily temperature hovers round 30 °C (86 °F) most of the year. Numerous Europeans spend their Christmas and New Year holidays in the city, mainly English, Germans,  Italians and some guests from Eastern countries, like Russia, Poland etc.

  1. It has been interesting to learn about. I had never heard of the place and I guess it is a bit like how the English holiday in Spain where the food is their own food and many things are done to make them not feel like they are in an alien country.

  2. What can taste better than freshly made bread. I am still envious of being able to soak in the sunshine just watching the world go by. hope you are not too depressed now you are back home.
