FUN MONDAY

For this week's Fun Monday Sayre proposed to take our camera as we go about our business and take a picture of things that make us laugh along the way.

The problem is, I don't go out anymore about a "business" ! I only go out if I have to shop or if I want to go out and my way to the Supermarket is rather boring !

Usually the first "thing" which makes me laugh when I get out of my bed is when I find my cat Arthur in this position on the sofa :

When I go out of my house the cow standing in my neigbour's mini garden makes me laugh too. It just looks so ridiculous but apparently it is very "chic" because the cow was part of an exposition and had cost a lot of money.

One night some innocent souls had put a rusty bucket under this masterpiece and behind straw with some stuff similar to cow poop. We all found that very funny except the neighbors they are not very famous for their humour.

The little dwarfs in my other neighbor's garden make me laugh too, they were put there by their little 10 year old son and I find them very cute.

Although I swear I am not living in or around a cimetary but there are no laughter causing items here around, no funny street signs, no advertising not even an exhibisionist in a raincoat jumping out of behind a bush.

  1. I live on a small hill so whenever I have to go out, I have to drive my car, which leaves me without a chance for pictures. That's not too bad because my way is like yours: rather boring! The same applies for walks in my neighborhood...maybe we are neighbors and don't know it, lol.

The cow is an interesting garden decoration (!), I like the dwarfs too, but in somebody else's garden. Have a nice Monday!

  2. Chicago did one of those exhibition of cows a few years ago. OK, 10 years ago. I'm getting old. :)

Love the cat picture - nice post.

  4. Well, I always love Arthur with his extremely comfy positions :-)

...and the cow poop is just the kind of hilarious pranks that we need some more of in this dry world!!!!

  5. Cats are their own little humor generators.
Looks like you have some very fun neighbors, too.

  6. Gatttina....those works of art on the cow sculptures are priceless in the west...AND they're a fortune. They may look funny to you, but if you've ever seen them in an exhibition, you'd be astounded at the art on them. They also have horse sculptures like this. And I'm sorry, I'd have to be like your neighbors, I would not have found it funny at all....like I said, those are truly works of art. Of course so is Picasso's works.

Now your cat made me smile....

  7. Arthur is very cute, the cow made me smile but not sure it would if I saw it everyday (unless the bucket was there as well)! The dwarfs are cute :)

  8. Hi Gattina ~~ We have lots of those fibre-glass cows in Shepparton. And the seven dwarfs are cute. I hope you get on OK with your mamma next month. I had breast cancer 29 years ago and had a mastectomy, so have had a lot of them. Take care, my friend, Love, Merle.

  9. I think you did just fine. Arthur, the cow, and the dwarves are all pretty funny things if you think about it!

  12. ...NOW I understand the humor, it's the size of the yard! Okie, dokie. Gotcha.

  13. The cow sounds like it has quite a life of its own. You'd think that people who would put cow art in their yard would have a sense of humor, wouldn't you?

  14. We've had a lot of those cows around Atlanta too. However, I've never once seen one in a person's garden!

My ex-mother-in-law used to have a mamma duck and line of baby ducks in her yard. She bought outfits for them and dressed them up for every holiday/season. She even had rain slickers, boots, etc. for rainy days.

  17. You DO have some smilemakers close to home! You also reminded me I meant to include pictures of our pets (they always bring a smile to my face), but in an effort to get my FM posted, I forgot! Wish I had Arthur's flexibility!

May I use your FM logo? It's darling!

  18. COW PARADE!!! I used to collect the small ceramic versions of those cows - until my kids knocked the shelf off the wall and broke them all while I was away on vacation. Oops! I did still keep them for awhile because they felt HORRIBLE and sat for an entire weekend glueing all the broken puzzle pieces back together in hopes that mom would never know! LOL! Then they saw how they looked and ended up TELLING me before I got home! But then I kept them because it showed me how much my children LOVE me! But... the NEXT time the shelf "accidentally fell" off the wall, we trashed them all!

  19. Another cute cat. And the cow thing was funny. I can't believe your neighbours couldn't see the humour. Maybe someone should stick a little three legged stool and a metal bucket under it next time.

  23. I run into those cows here and there, some of them are decorated really neat. We had lions like them for a while do to a production on the Lion King.

    Love the elves!

  25. I love your photos. The cat's position is great too.

  26. Over at The Lurchers, the blog owner calls the upside position "roaching". Evidently, contented greyhounds do it.
